Skip the trial

You do not have to wait out the seven days.

Most people find the piece they want to play in the first day or two. Then they hit a locked lesson and have to sit on their hands until the trial runs out. You can end the wait whenever you like. Upgrading takes about thirty seconds inside your Skool settings, and everything opens straight away.

How to do it

Four taps, start to finish

  1. Open your profile settings

    Click your profile picture in the top right corner of Skool, then choose Settings.

  2. Find Musicate in your list of groups

    Every group you belong to is listed here. Press the SETTINGS button on the Musicate row.

  3. Choose skip trial and upgrade now

    You will see what you are currently paying, and the option Skip trial / Upgrade now. This only shows while your trial is still running.

  4. Confirm with upgrade now

    Press UPGRADE NOW and your membership starts immediately. The locked lessons open on the same screen you were stuck on.

Using your phone? The Skool app tucks these settings behind your profile picture in the same place. If you cannot find the option, open skool.com in your phone browser and sign in there. The four steps are identical.

The things people ask first

What happens to the days left on my trial?

Your paid membership begins the moment you upgrade, so the remaining free days end there. That is the trade. You are choosing to have everything now rather than keep waiting for it.

Can I start on the standard tier and move up later?

Yes. Switching tiers happens on the same settings screen, at any time. Plenty of people spend a month or two working through the songs first and move up when they want feedback on their playing.

Am I locked in?

No. It is a monthly membership and you cancel from the same place you upgraded. There is no minimum term and no call to sit through.

My card was declined and I do not know why.

This is usually the bank blocking an unfamiliar overseas charge rather than anything wrong on your end. Approving it in your banking app and trying again fixes it most of the time. If it still will not go through, message me in the community and I will sort it out with you.

I am not sure I am ready to commit.

Then let the trial run. It costs you nothing to wait it out, and the lessons will still be there on day seven. This page is only for the people who already know what they want to play and would rather not sit still for another week.
